The whole thing about Victor Conte auditioning for the band is such a Tr*mp story lmao the only difference is that if it was Tr*mp he wouldn't really have ever played with the band he would have just crashed the stage at a charity event and knocked the bass out of tune by plucking at it uninvited

...I can somewhat see the justification for granting the athletes immunity, but imprisoning journalists for refusing to give up their sources is, uh. Not Cool.

The thing with steroids, of course, is that the biggest problem is that if we were to just fling open the doors on that front people would die from overdoses and destroy their bodies with them -- not to mention it would widen an already-extant disparity in opportunity and ability for those with money and access to high tech trainers and medical care and those without. But god, we're really just terrible at dealing with it as a problem, huh.
